The Drug Development Discussion Group (DDD Group) is an informal
moderated forum bringing together research professionals and clinicians
interested in drug development. At this session, Dr. Henry Krause of InDanio will discuss revitalizing the drug discovery process with an advanced nuclear receptor-based in vivo screening system.
Speaker: Dr. Henry Krause (InDanio)
Each session has a 30-minute presentation and a 45-minute moderated

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Dr. Henry Krause
Dr. Henry Krause is a Professor at the Terrance Donelly Centre for Cellular and Biological Research, University of Toronto as well as at the Banting and Best Department of Medical Research. He's a senior investigator for the CIHR and a Canadian representative on the Society of Developmental Biology Board. His research focusses on the family-wide analysis of the functions, structures and modulators of the nuclear receptor class of transcription factors. Using the fruit fly to develop new technologies and approaches, these technologies have been introduced to zebrafish for the analysis of human nuclear receptors. The success of these new directions has led to the spinoff of a new drug discovery program.
